Operating Responsibly
Lithium Africa explores in partnership with the communities and host countries where we work. We hire locally and early — building field crews, geological teams, and support staff from the regions around our projects, with training and skills that stay in-country.
We also treat community engagement as continuous rather than a one-time formality. We consult early, meet often, and keep stakeholders informed at every stage of exploration — so the people closest to our projects understand the work, share in its progress, and help shape how it advances.

Community meetings across Lithium Africa’s active jurisdictions.

Lithium Africa Internship Program
As part of our commitment to the communities where we operate, the Lithium Africa Internship Program brings students from local universities — and select international partners — into the field. Interns gain hands-on industry experience in critical-mineral exploration while supporting undergraduate and graduate research that advances the science of African lithium geology. It is one of the ways we help build the next generation of geoscientists alongside the districts we explore.
